1: Happy New Year!

I can't believe we're a week into the new year already...how on earth has that happened!?  We had a lovely New Years Eve celebration with friends.  We fed the kids early and then settled down to a delicious meal with the grown ups.  

2. Heavenly smells

I picked up one of The White Company's Fig Tree candles in the sale and I had to go back and stock up as I'm obsessed and burning it constantly!

3. Road tripping to see family

We took a trip up to Manchester to see my husbands side of the family and then down to Dorset to visit my parents.  It was absolutely freezing on Sandbanks, but so good to top up our vitamin sea and blow the cobwebs away.  

4. First days!

The kids headed back to school and I headed back into the studio on Wednesday.  As I walked the kids to school I found myself thinking back to this time last year and felt so grateful that they were able to return to their friends and teachers this year.  

5. Birthdays!

I celebrated my 43rd birthday on Thursday as everyone was at work or school I took myself off for a little solo day out to Daylesford Farm.  After a mooch round the shop I tucked into a very hearty mushrooms on toast before heading into the garden centre.  I couldn't get enough of their dreamy table layouts...can't wait to host a dinner party to try and recreate this look!
